You can buy Lightroom 6 as a Single App licensed product (without a Creative Cloud plan), and download and install it on your desktop. Lightroom is also included in the Creative Cloud Photography and Creative Cloud All Apps plans.

If you have a Creative Cloud plan of any type, you do not need to purchase Lightroom 6. Please see
- Sign in to your Adobe account with your Adobe ID and password. If you do not have an Adobe ID, click Get an Adobe ID and follow the onscreen instructions.
- Go to the Adobe product catalog. Scroll to find Photoshop Lightroom, and click Buy now
- The item refreshes to display available product options.Choose your desired product options,
- such as Full or Upgrade, and click Add to Cart.
- Your shopping cart appears. In your cart, you can edit your order or click Checkout.
If you chose a product upgrade, you may need to enter the serial number of your previously purchased Lightroom product during the checkout process.
If you do not see the serial number screen after signing in with your Adobe ID, please see Serialize Lightroom CC trial to activate as Lightroom 6.
- On the Checkout screen, enter your billing and payment information, and click Review Order.
- Confirm your cart contents, and billing and payment information, and click Place Order.
- Note:It may take some time to process your order. Do not click the Back button on your browser during this time.

Depending on your network and computer speed, it may take some time to download Lightroom.

- To install Lightroom, double-click (Windows) or click (Mac OS) the downloaded file.
Do one of the following:
- Windows: Follow the Lightroom 6 installer’s onscreen prompts to unpackage the downloaded file and begin the install process.
- Mac OS: In the Lightroom 6 window that appears, double-click Install.

If asked whether you’re sure if you want to open the application, click Open.
- On the Welcome page, click Install I have purchased
- If prompted, sign in with your Adobe ID and password.
- Accept the Adobe Software License agreement.
- Enter the Lightroom serial number provided when you completed your purchase, and click Next.
- On the Options screen that appears, click Install.
Lightroom 6 is installed on your computer in the same location where your applications are normally installed, such as the Program Files folder (Windows) or the Applications folder (Mac OS). You can access it the same way you access any application on your computer.
